Gorontalo Regency, Kominfotik – Deputy Minister of Transmigration (Wamentrans) Viva Yoga Mauladi handed over 109 Certificates of Ownership (SHM) to transmigrant residents in Pulubala District, Gorontalo Regency, on Wednesday (4/8/2026). The handover was attended by Governor Gusnar Ismail and Vice Regent Tonny Yunus.
The arrival of Deputy Minister Viva Yoga was also aimed at inaugurating several projects funded by his ministry, totaling IDR 4.4 billion. These include the construction of non-status roads to the transmigration area, a community hall, and school rehabilitation.
Viva Yoga stated that the handover of the SHM is expected to provide legal certainty for the transmigrant residents. Furthermore, the land certificates can serve as excellent capital for business endeavors and improving their overall welfare.
He further noted that the development of transmigration areas is a key focus of President Prabowo’s administration. Transmigration is expected to become a contributing sector to national food security and strengthen the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).
In the same venue, Governor Gusnar Ismail encouraged transmigrant residents to utilize the land provided for farming and livestock. The Provincial Government is specifically providing attention to transmigrants regarding the distribution of agricultural assistance.
He also encouraged residents to raise chickens. Poultry farming is currently very promising, in line with the development of chicken farming downstreaming in North Gorontalo Regency.
The residents utilized the Deputy Minister’s visit to engage in a dialogue. Several issues were raised, ranging from village infrastructure development to the ownership of secondary business land (LU II), which they have yet to receive.
