BONE BOLANGO, Kominfotik – The Communication, Informatics, and Statistics Office (Diskominfotik) of Gorontalo Province held a media partnership evaluation meeting on Tuesday (April 7, 2026). The meeting, led by Acting Head of Diskominfotik Sri Wahyuni D. Matona, aimed to optimize public services and the dissemination of public information.
The evaluation revealed that, based on media analytics, the Government of Gorontalo Province generated 4,128 news stories during the first quarter of 2026. These stories were published by 20 media outlets currently partnering with the Provincial Government, consisting of 17 online media, and one print, one television, and one radio outlet each.
Budget efficiencies have significantly impacted the volume of news coverage from partner media. In 2025, each media partner published 30 news stories per month for the Provincial Government; this year, that figure has decreased to 17 stories per month.
At the conclusion of the evaluation meeting, Diskominfotik and the partner media agreed to continue improving the coverage of the Provincial Government’s activities—specifically those involving Governor Gusnar Ismail and Vice Governor Idah Syahidah Rusli Habibie—by seeking new strategies to ensure all government programs are effectively communicated to the wider public. The meeting was also attended by representatives from the Secretariat of the Gorontalo Provincial DPRD and the Governor’s Communication Team.
