Boalemo Regency, Kominfotik – The presence of the subsidized low-price market and the distribution of the Gorontalo Provincial Government’s Direct Food Assistance (BLP3G) in Boalemo Regency has brought renewed hope to the community. These two programs, held simultaneously by the Provincial Gov’t on Saturday (March 7, 2026), serve as a manifestation of the government’s commitment to helping citizens meet their basic food needs.
Since early morning, the grounds of the Baiturrahmah Mosque in Tilamuta District were packed with residents eager to shop at the low-price market. Around 1,000 coupon-holding residents were seen patiently queuing to obtain basic commodities at significantly more affordable prices.
Amidst the queue was Titin (40), a resident of Hungayonaa Village. Dressed in a yellow hijab, she admitted to having queued since the morning. Despite the fatigue, she persevered because the prices of the goods sold were much lower than market rates. Upon seeing the Vice Governor of Gorontalo arrive to personally serve the citizens, Titin expressed her gratitude and her hopes for the future.
The atmosphere at the market grew even more spirited when residents realized they were being served directly by the Vice Governor of Gorontalo, Idah Syahidah Rusli Habibie. The province’s second-highest official was seen actively assisting the crowding citizens, particularly at the egg and cooking oil stalls.
The Vice Governor’s presence among the people was met with great enthusiasm. Several residents, especially the mothers, could be heard calling out greetings while expressing their joy.

Happiness was also felt by the recipients of the BLP3G assistance, particularly in Tilamuta District. One recipient, Noni Mutiara (62), a resident of East Pentadu Village, shared her story. She explained that she now lives alone since her husband passed away, while her child works in Pohuwato Regency.
This year’s low-price market in Boalemo Regency was prepared to serve 1,000 community members. Additionally, the event included the distribution of food packages from the Gorontalo Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) and various banking institutions. Meanwhile, the BLP3G distribution reached 328 Beneficiary Families (KPM) spread across five districts.
