Gorontalo City, Kominfotik – Vice Governor, Idah Syahidah Rusli Habibie, has urged Micro and Small Enterprise (MSE) actors to manage their business capital assistance productively to support business growth and improve family welfare.
This statement was made during the Phase XVI handover of productive economic assistance for MSEs, held at the office yard of the Gorontalo Provincial Department of Cooperatives, MSEs, Industry, and Trade (Kumperindag) on Tuesday (March 17, 2026).
Focus on Growth, Not Consumption
In her briefing, the Vice Governor emphasized that government assistance must be utilized correctly and not diverted for consumptive needs, especially with the upcoming Eid al-Fitr holidays.
She further reminded the recipients that this assistance is not recurring, so they are expected to utilize it optimally to increase their respective business capacities.
Collaborative Support for Small Businesses
The productive economic assistance program is a collaboration between Baznas Gorontalo Province and the Provincial Kumperindag Department. The aid is distributed in stages to citizens who own productive businesses, such as culinary ventures, small stalls (warung), sewing services, and various other small income-generating enterprises.
In this Phase XVI, assistance was distributed to 200 beneficiaries, consisting of:
29 MSE actors in Gorontalo Regency.
30 MSE actors in Gorontalo City.
141 MSE actors in Bone Bolango Regency.
Each recipient received IDR 1,200,000 to serve as additional business capital.
